Our Business

Mainly an educational service on investing, budgeting and investing. We can tutor on a confidential individual level and support group classes and seminars. Answer specific questions and concerns. If we dont know, we will find out. email us with your questions, concerns,etc.

Who We Are

Our founder started this non profit early in his retirement to give back to the community. He saw the  need for better financial decision making based on his own experience with neighbors, friends, and the numerous stories of people getting caught in ponzi schemes and other fraudulant acts. As a stock broker for over 10 years and an passionate investor for over 30 years he wants to utilise that experience to help others.

Stories of poor decisions

I will start with a story of my own mistakes and dubious practices used by the sales person. I invested in several Texas based drilling for oil & gas projects based on cold calls. (First rule “Never invest based on a cold caller") Although the risk is disclosed after some later research and the help of a website from a fellow named Bernie Berkoy, I found almost none make you any money. I would be told my well had hit and got a few months revenue as they sold me other projects and then nothing.

On another real estate investment, I met with the principles, reviewed the project and actually made money on the first two and then all of a sudden on the third one, the K1 stopped coming and I found the principle was sentenced to jail for five years for being part of a Ponzi scheme in Austin Texas as part of "Triton Financial".
